Welcome to Hip Dance Company! We are excited to have your dancer join us. Please review the important information below so you know what to expect throughout the season.

*Tuition & Payments

 

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is required for all accounts.

  • Tuition is automatically withdrawn on the 5th of each month
    • A $2 processing fee applies to credit/debit card payments
    • A $10 late fee is added if tuition is not received by the 10th of the month
    • Returned EFT payments are subject to a $25 returned payment fee
    • Changes to EFT must be submitted 10 days prior to withdrawal date

Important:
Tuition is calculated by the dance year (August–May) — not by individual months.

Tuition includes weekly classes, extra rehearsals, performance preparation, and studio performance opportunities throughout the season.

Auto-pay stops automatically after your May payment. Returning students will complete a new authorization form each season.

Family Discount:
Additional dancers in the same family receive $5 off per dancer per month.

Withdrawal Policy:
Withdrawal must be submitted in writing. Tuition is still charged for the full month if withdrawal occurs mid-month.

Communication

Email is the primary form of communication for:

  • Studio updates
  • Schedule reminders
  • Recital information
  • Costume updates
  • Weather closures
  • Important deadlines

Please ensure your email address remains current.

 

 

Recital Performances

All dancers participate in two performances each season:

  • Winter Recital – December
    Spring Recital – May

Each recital has a $30 recital fee per dancer:

  • Winter Recital fee due October 16th, 2026
  • Spring Recital fee due March 12th, 2027

Recital fees are automatically charged to the card/account on file.

Costumes

Each class performs in its own costume.

  • Costume deposit due at registration: $30 (non-refundable)
    • Costume balance due: October 16th, 2026
    • Typical costume cost: $75–$80 per class
    • Tights are included when required

Costumes are ordered in October.

Students joining after Winter Recital will have costumes ordered in February.

Costume deposits and costume purchases are non-refundable.

 

Dance Shoes

Shoes are not included with tuition or costumes.

The recommended shoes for your dancers class will be provided at the time of registration.

Class Pictures

Pictures are scheduled in late spring.

Participation in group photos is encouraged, but purchase is optional. Pricing information will be shared closer to picture day.

Classroom Attire- RECOMMENDATIONS

Hair should always be pulled back and away from the face.

Ballet
• Any color leotard
• Tights
• Skirt optional

Jazz / Ballet
• Leotard
• Fitted dance shorts or fitted dance top
• Optional tights or skirts

Jazz / Tumbling
• Leotard
• Fitted shorts or fitted dance top
• Footless tights only (if worn)
• No attached skirts

Jazz
• Leotard

Hip Hop
• Athletic shorts or pants
• Loose-fitting top
• No jeans
