Katie Miller

Dance Instructor

Katie started dancing when she was 3 years old and immediately fell in love with it. Katie grew up dancing at Hip Dance Co., training in a variety of styles which led to many opportunities, one of them being a 3-year member of the Copper Hills drill team. Katie won multiple first place solo awards and placed Top 10 in the Miss Drill competition both years she competed. Katie served as the Captain of the Copper Hills drill team her senior year, leading the team to their very first state championship in 2013.

After high school, Katie attended Utah Valley University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science. While attending UVU, Katie was a member of the UVU dance team for 5 years. She served as Co-Captain, Senior Officer, and
President of the team and was a part of 4 national championships. After graduating from UVU, Katie went back to Copper Hills to coach the drill team for 4 years. While she was there, the team continually placed in the top 5 at state and won the 6A state championship her first year coaching.

Katie has a passion for choreography and feels extremely blessed to have choreographed many award-winning routines for college dance teams, drill teams, dance companies and various studios across the nation. She loves the connection it brings and hopes to continue working with as many dancers as she can. She feels especially blessed to spend so much time with the dancers at Hip and is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with all of them.
